Monitor sensitivity

Tune how faint a cry sets off an alert

Sensitivity controls how quiet a sound has to be before the hub decides it's a cry. Higher catches faint fussing but may pick up background noise; lower ignores everything but a real, loud cry. Most homes are happiest in the middle.

  1. Pick a level — tap anywhere on the selector, from Lowest to Highest.
  2. Read the hint — the line underneath tells you what that level means (shown here: "Balanced — recommended for most homes").

What each level means

Highest — Most sensitive. Detects faint cries. May trigger on background noise.

High — Detects quieter cries. May trigger on some background noise.

Med — Balanced. Recommended for most homes.

Low — Only detects loud cries. Best for noisy environments.

Lowest — Fewest false triggers. For very noisy environments.

Getting false alerts from a fan, white-noise machine, or street noise? Step down a level. Worried a soft cry was missed? Step up one.

Don't forget to save

Sensitivity changes don't take effect until you tap Save Changes on the bar that slides up at the bottom of the screen — the same bar shown in the demo above.
